Palbace is generally used in combination with letrozole or fulvestrant (Faslodex) for treating certain types of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It is also given in combination with another cancer medicine, either letrozole (Femara) or fulvestrant (Faslodex).
Palbace is a renamed version of the drug Ibrance for the Indian market. It is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In clinical studies, palbociclib appeared to improve survival time of patients.
Palbace comes in capsule form in 125mg dose. 1 pack has 21 capsules.

It is also used to treat patients with certain types of breast cancer (estrogen receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative) which have spread to other organs. It is given together with hormonal anticancer therapies.

- Nausea and Vomiting
- Hair loss or thinning of the hair
- Lack or loss of strength
- Decrease in white blood cells and platelets
- Decreased appetite
- Chills and fever
Neutropenia – palbace 125mg tablet cause neutropenia (decrease in white blood cells) in some patients. A decrease in white blood cell count may render the patient prone to serious and opportunistic infections. Report any unusual symptoms such as a fever, chills, sore throat, etc. to the doctor immediately. Close monitoring of blood cell counts is recommended during treatment with this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Infections – Since this medicine can cause bone marrow suppression, the patients are susceptible to serious and opportunistic infections. Report any symptoms such as a fever, chills, shortness of breath, sore throat, etc. to the doctor immediately. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Use in children – This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
Pregnancy – This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. Discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine.
Breast-feeding – This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the medicine based on your clinical condition.
