Imatib 400 mg Pill is used to treat and prevent the growth of certain types of cancers of the blood cells, stomach, intestine, bone marrow, and skin.
Gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GIST) is a rare form of sarcoma that develops usually in the stomach from the supporting stromal tissue. Imatib pills 400mg are used to treat adults and children with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) that is newly diagnosed or after failure of interferon therapy; also newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in adults and children in combination with chemotherapy or as monotherapy in adults with relapsed or refractory (difficult to treat) ALL.
Myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative diseases are blood cancers caused by either over-production or abnormal development of bone marrow myeloid cells.

Imatib 400mg Tablet is used for the treatment of following conditions:
- Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL)
- Bone marrow disorder
- Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML)
- Gastro-intestinal cancer
- Skin cancer

Contact your doctor immediate if an overdose with this medicine is suspected. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin allergies, tiredness, fever, etc.

This pill is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary and the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Your doctor will determine the best course of treatment after assessing the clinical condition.
This pill is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the drug based on your clinical condition.
This pill should be used with caution in patients having a pre-existing disorder of the stomach or the intestine due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Replacement with a suitable optional may be necessary based on the clinical condition.
This pill should be used with caution in patients having a low level of thyroid hormone due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable optional may be need based on the clinical condition.

Store in a cool, dry place far from the reach of children. – Pills must not be used past the expiry date.
